Does anyone know how many you can miss before dropping out of the 800 curve?

whatttttt other questions?

why is the math thread dying??

Around 5-6 if u left them blank..4 or 5 if u guessed wrong. it changes each time. hopefully this will be a lenient curve.

i think 6 blank.

haha i'm going to retake in october. this was my first sat of any sort.

but there was 2 graphs that had uniform distribution. i chose the one with 4 uniform bars but what about the one that had 2?

YES POSEUR.

that;s what i put. looks right, and as far as im concerned, it seems right..

fivewinks-

correct answer was the one with one bar.

when do scores come out again?

poseur: i think you are right, too. i just did this by drawing- and it looked right.

with the standard deviation question, i chose the graph with one bar also.

When you reflect a point over y=-x then you flip and negate. So given (x,y) and reflect over y=-x, then you get (-y,-x). Haha, I looked that up as soon as I got home because I was so worried about that one.
Scores=May 22.

the score comes out in a month
right?

goodatlife:
one bar means there isn't a SD. no?

Sorry goodatlife, just deleted 'cuz I saw why I was wrong.

Umm... I think it's wrong because like... the way we're looking at it doesn't take into account where the perpendicular line would cross y=-x... we're like... reflecting it about the origin... I dunno. I can see it either way.

yeah. it coomes out in about three weeks, if fast.

oh yea remeber the one saying find this for .01 and the answer choices came out to be .012354 and another answer choice was .019345 and I was like what the F~.
What did you all put, I think i put the .012 one
-i put the .019 or something w/ the 9, which was 10? im not sure.

And what was the answer to the one where it was like if sin2x = A...what does 2sinx, or something, equal...
-i put x?

How about the one where it said you can score either 3 or 8 points on a question, which one of these is true. I put III only, that the answer can be even or odd....the first two I dont think were true. Anyone remember?
-i think i put that too.

anyone get the one with all the table and it asked y as a function of x (or x as a function of y?)

I got only II and III because table I had an X value repeated twice (well it all depends i guess on whether y was a function of x or the other way around...)
anyone remember??
-i put that too.

I think I got 0≤x≤45
or something like that for
sin2x = 2cosx or whatever the question was.
-oh, i think i put that too!

Also, does anyone remember the one where it was like there are three different colored objects in a hat, and what's the probability of picking them out in the order red-green-blue?
-1/6 maybe?

what was the one with the "1,2,3,4" ways of 4 number that 2 and 3 has to be next to one another? I tried to write all the possible numbers, but I got 5.
1234
1423
4123
2314
2341
but the anwsers wer 4, 6, 12, 18, and 24..... so i guessed 12. because (4p4)/(2P2) what did you guys get??
-i put 6

was the one with imaginary number graph, A? you had to like combine two of the other points i think....
-i think i put something like (-3, 2)

What did you guys get for the second question regading the shoulder length compared to the height. I believe the questions was what was the height of a person with shoulder length of 48 cm using the arithmetic mean. I put 191.9 i believe that was (D).
-i think i put that?

for the y=-x, I think they gave you 2,3 and the answer was -2,-3?
-i put that.

i got 78 for the law of cosines too.

MY QUESTIONS:

does anyone remember which number was in the arithmetic sequence. i think the answer i put was 92?

how do you translate the circle so many units to the right and up or whatever it was? the thing =25 i hope?

midpoint for the (x,y,z) points is just like doing regular midpoint with x and then with y, and then z right?

the answer to the negative absolute value and it gave you parts of the graph. i think it was c or d? the one w/ all the values negative.

i did number six in the last minute. was it 2x+y=0? it asked which was parallel and had the origin.

what was the definitive answer to when the thing would reach 6 million?

one question gave two equations i think and it was one of those I, II, or III questions. II was that they had one intersection. i dont remember the others. was it II and III?

"And what was the answer to the one where it was like if sin2x = A...what does 2sinx, or something, equal..."
-i put x? or i did for another question.

thanks!

does anyone remember which number was in the arithmetic sequence. i think the answer i put was 92?
-oh no! i dont remember that one

how do you translate the circle so many units to the right and up or whatever it was? the thing =25 i hope?
-yeah, radius should be same 25

midpoint for the (x,y,z) points is just like doing regular midpoint with x and then with y, and then z right?
-yep

the answer to the negative absolute value and it gave you parts of the graph. i think it was c or d? the one w/ all the values negative.
-yes, i got all negative.

i did number six in the last minute. was it 2x+y=0? it asked which was parallel and had the origin.
-find the same slope

what was the definitive answer to when the thing would reach 6 million?
-i had the same question too, i guessed 1 but everyone here said 4..

one question gave two equations i think and it was one of those I, II, or III questions. II was that they had one intersection. i dont remember the others. was it II and III?
-? you mean which was the function question?

"And what was the answer to the one where it was like if sin2x = A...what does 2sinx, or something, equal..."
-i put x? or i did for another question.

-i put the one with SecX because sin2X=2sinXcosX .

alright good bye everyone.
and good luck on may 22
i cant look at this thread anymore. it's making me depressed because it seems like i got few easy questions wrong.

I put x for the -abs(x) question. For the sin2x question, I got asecx. The parallel line one was 2x-y=0 I believe. The two graphs was one intersection, no zeroes, same range. I got 92. The translated circle was like (x-8)^2+(y-3)^2=25. I think it was four years for the population. The line reflection was (-2, -3). The imaginary graph one was in the second quadrant. Yeah.

-one question gave two equations i think and it was one of those I, II, or III questions. II was that they had one intersection. i dont remember the others. was it II and III?

i graphed that and i think it was III?

for the 6 million question, i also got 4.
