there was area between the circles, you had to take that into account. radius was 6 which means that the small circle radius was 2…then u get 4pi

it was also 1/4r^2 because you had to square the 1/2

it was 1/2 r squared which gave 1/4 r^2

technically, the answer to the pay rate question should be 7.80 dollars per hour. But they would accept 7.8 right?

boston1993. The combination problem was choosing 3 out of 4. Not choosing 1 of 4 and 1 of 3. Therefore the answer was 4. I doubt i have misread ANYTHING from math section seeing as i spent literally 80% of the time (the other 20% for doing them for the first time, still with a lot of care) rereading and rechecking every answer.

Can anyone confirm the water loss problem? It was some graph asking where water decline was the greatest? I put E 1:14-1:20 I think, but I see people putting 1:00-1:04

what was the answer to the question with a circle(but without the outer lining, so it was just the angles) cut up to like 6-7 angles…there were like 3-4 X’s and Y’s…
some of the choices were x+y=120 or x=y…what was it? i put x=y but i don’t know for sure…

@boston: it is the number of ways of choosing 3 cakes out of 4: it is 4

i thought the last one said 1/2 of (times) r^2, so you would not have to multiply it out?

i think it asked which time inerval was the water changing the fastest. this clearly means when the derivative (slope) is the biggest

^ No it was 4.

i think that list is pretty accurate …except i don’t know about the answers with single digit numbers because i don’t know which questions they are referred to

EDIT: i think the 91 in that list should be 105. it was the area of the quadrilateral

91 + 14 = 105

@iforget - Huh? Didn’t it ask for all the possible choices?

Boston: "There was a combination problem with a bakery. 4 of something and 3 of something. The answer is 12. "

No, its 4. if you know its a combination problem, cant you calculate 4C3 in your calculator and see that youre wrong…

yeah it was just 4!/[(1!)*(3!)] = 4

For the 8521 problem what were the restrictions?

Mutha f----a.

yeah, the bakery one is definitely 4. it said 4 different kinds of break, choose 3. so you could go C(4,3). or if you really want to, you could write it out.
like say the four kinds are A, B, C, D
you can have:
ABC
ABD
ACD
BCD

anyone remember the answer choice for the last one # 16 with r?

@gummy head

no two digits repeated

the largest digit equals the sum of the other three digits

divisible by 10 but not 0
