May 2010 Writing SAT Thread

Ah, right NYJ, it had more larger or something. yeah, it was most.

did the question about sumerian language developing more than 5000 years ago have an error in it?

also did the john dobson developing an inexpensive telescope question have an error?

Also, pretty sure that “of mexican descent” is idiomatic

how about the book of assassinations one? I think I put NE.

@ Gthopeful ; Was that talking about the blatant example of whatever? I marked D (?), for ‘of any.’ Thought it should’ve been ‘as any.’ Probably wrong, haha.

How about the Berlin Wall, bringing in airplanes one. I seem to remember being torn between one with a comma and one without.

Airplanes I think put “to the city” at the end of the sentence.
Sent airplanes with supplies to the city, right?
Red Cross was NE?

I believe both of the answers you said are correct. ^

How was Red Cross no error? I thought it had some kind of ambiguity in it.

there was an question involving the word “assassination”, what was it?

I put the other one. It was like to the city, which …

One about the juggling kid and what to change in the sentence…

some choices were
“other people” instead of _____
“me” added somewhere

Was the venice story experimental???

for the honey one, it was supposed to be “is”, not "are’ right?

@Rust- i also thought about the “are” but the thing was like aqua said, the are was not referring to the honey it was referring to the flowers i made out of so the correct answr was D, the one with distinctive in it.

i think the writing was the easiest out of all 3 sections, anyone agree with me?

@wongtongtong, i think “are” was wrong becasue it was referring to the honey…

wait what was the one with the investors and the company…also the one with the person who was really pleased when Maria got the job or something.

For honey, I put that it was supposed to be ‘is’ because it was a singular subject?

^^ I think the writing was actually the hardest lol. There were a lot of questions where I wasn’t quite sure.

I’m also pretty sure are referred to the honey.
If it wasn’t then the sentence would’ve been a fragment - there would have been no verb paired with the subject (honey).

it was distinctive.

I think I got an 800 on writing.

also the the last 3 for section 14 were all D

and 7 on section 10 was or to forgo.
