May 2011 - US History Post-Test Discussion

@nostalgicwisdom. omg i love you. so the answer was the british slave trade, right?

ya, it was British slave trade

that’s the answer. British abolished slave trade in 1807 I think

@anaserena chill lol, but seriously i believe it was the great awakening that’s all, and i do believe that many people started to observe the sabbath. "Sabbath observance became widespread throughout America. " [The Great Awakening](http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Great-Awakening)

I have a list of like 80 of the questions so far and have been putting the answers on as I’ve been discovering them, but I don’t want to get in trouble with CollegeBoard so I can’t share them I don’t think.

Is there a time that we are allowed to start discussing them? Because I’ll post them after that if so…

are people still arguing about that? i’m 99.9% sure its great awakening due to the emotional context of it

So was that one with the quote about skipping church for sermons and stuff great awakening? Because I put Quakers, figuring that since the great awakening was about religious revival they wouldn’t be skipping church, and because they talked about people crying and whatnot and aren’t Quakers known for like, quaking with religious fervor? I don’t know, now I feel like I was totally wrong.

@born2dance94: Are you kidding? We’ve discussed nearly the entire test by now (in the last 26 pages).

I won’t discuss the actual questions, but based on the facts and arguments you all have made, it seems like there are a few questions here that could very well be contended with CollegeBoard because the answers could technically apply to more than one.

So after checking everything here, I’ve come to the conclusion I missed no more than 5, ie. a raw score of 84/90. Is that good enough for an 800?

@ACTTester yeah but personally I haven’t discussed the questions, and just in case I’d prefer not to. So if there’s like an official time that we can finally discuss them, I’ll post it.

lol i thought we could discuss after 12pm :O

@ACTTester

That’s actually precisely why I was asking, so I could be directed to the lit forum, because I cannot find it, and was wondering if anyone else could. No need to be sassy, I just need help finding one.

‘So if there’s like an official time that we can finally discuss them, I’ll post it.’
there is no official time. they said NEVER discuss the questions lol. Nothing is gonna happen, just post it -___-

^Yeah that should be 800. I think you can get -8 raw for 800.

Idk, can we? If someone finds an actual source to that, I’ll throw it up here.

Don’t worry, they won’t ever find out who you are. And FYI we have been discussing test questions the whole time. If you post yours, you would really help out a lot of us.

i highly doubt it. collegeboard’s good at making sure there’s a single right answer for each question. and it’s not just that…the other answers are dead wrong. there’s no haziness. and this applies not only for the us history test but also for the regular sat, etc. …

brah, we already discussed like half of the test…

@nostalgicwisdom I’m too nervous that I’ll get caught. My life is basically defined by Murphy’s Law. Chances are you could all discuss them in detail and never get found out, but if I were to even interject with anything, somehow I’ll/we’ll get caught. Seriously… such is the luck in my life. So I’d really rather not risk it. Sorry ):
