and wasn’t there question about ____ of orders that makes people work overnight ?
i got influx

@usnfilms I also got boon…universal.

@sj2hlee

I got influx as well!

Also got influx.

To all those who were shaky on vocab, direct hits covered almost all the difficult vocab questions. (except bohemian i believe)

what was a bohemian question? i don’t think i had one like that

Make sure you read the other pages.

But to save you the trouble, it was the question about a person who was unconvential, which is the defn of bohemian.

I’m sure this has already been mentioned, but what was the answer to the art one where you finish the list (blunderer, amateur etc.)

For the postcard one, did anyone else say that it was a “harsh judgment of a blunt statement.”

I didn’t know if “Be happy,” qualified as a well-known expression, I mean, it’s only two words. And it is sort of a blunt command.

Also, her comment seemed harsher than simply mild. Tough question, though.

I learned directhits 420 words amongst others days before the test, definitely got most right but bohemian…

Am i the only who connected bohemian rhapsody by Queen to the SAT question?

does anyone know how they grade essays?..
i wrote a intro and one body paragraph, started on my second body paragraph but didnt finish… guys have any idea of what my essay score would average out to be??

Harsh judgement means outright opposition. The narrator just seemed to be annoyed by it more than anything.

Also, did you guys get “she doesnt condone his lack of care” or something like that.

oh snap…i think the answer choice was “she DOES condone”

@Siddysidsid

I was definitely thinking “Dang, I wish I knew what “Bohemian” from “Bohemian Rhapsody” meant!” but I ended up picking the other one I was stuck on :-/. Props if that helped you though haha.

what was the sc about the critic caring more about his reviews? does anyone remember the answer choices?what was the sc about the critic caring more about his reviews? does anyone remember the answer choices?

@blankk,
I was also confused but chose amateur over blunderer. Blunderer is someone who commits “A usually serious mistake typically caused by ignorance or confusion.” Doesnt sound right to me.

Critic caring more about his reviews — i thought he was narcissistic.

@blankk

I believe the two words in the list were “dilletante” and “dabbler.” Amateur=synonymous

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t “boon” because when i think of “boon” i think of the oil spill from a year or so ago and remember hearing the word “boon” to mean block off… “The oil was surrounded by a boon” thats my thinking anyway

Did anyone get the choice E’s for like 4 or so in a row then a couple D’s

@tnoonan2013

I recall someone with a severe speech impediment giving a lecture about “boon” monkeys in their jungle habitats, but it doesn’t matter because the dictionary begs to differ with validity of this usage. Boon/universal is the answer.
