@lilly
thats what i put down

@Michael
I was between that one and the one I chose, which was something about her being scared of her parents or something else to that effect. I chose that because of how she was terrified of her mom when she came down from the tree after hanging the doll.

@zzzzzz I put the same things!

@light
parents could repeal love or something?

Remind me: what was the essay on venice about? IDR.

Yea, that’s the one I chose.

Venice one was experimental btw guys

terrified is too extreme

Yeah its antitheses. Hmm emotional needs seems a bit off, because I don’t think that’s what it was. I put the obstacles one because her mom was sorta scared for her just because of that incident

Repealing love is a bit extreme though! And no, the parents didn’t have emotional needs, they were more concerned about their daughter and how she would turn out

they had emotional needs, the girl always wanted to make them happy and do what they wanted

@lily
yes, but the question asked about her view as a child, and the passage repeatedly mentioned that she didn’t want to hurt their feelings (sneaking off while dad was playing with dolls so he didn’t feel bad, etc)

what did you guys get for the texting passage comparing the two passages?

I put B

passage 1 denounces the influce of something
which passage 2 thinks is a positive force.

And what about the “poor” one. What does poor mean

the answers were barren, inadequate, needy, petty

@eagles94: I put inadequate.

OH and the narrative with the dancer…?

that one seemed weird to me- but i don’t remember the specific questions

@eagles I got the same thing. For the “poor” one I got inadequate. That was the only one that would describe children’s literacy. someone answer this please:

hardest question on CR for me: how did the author answer the question in lines xy (But how would an art major give me anything besides a sheepskin (diploma) to take home to my mother?)

The only choice I specifically remember is dancing and incorporating classic art but I definitely did not choose that. I think there was one about her learning scholarly methodology but I didnt choose that either

That was mainly the mom though. I think the parents seemed more discouraged.

The girl always understood the emotional needs of the parents…she only did the stuff she did because she didn’t want to upset them.

@eagles
-Yes
-inadequate

@scarn

It was B
I remember I chose B because I saw like 3 clues that gave it away. She said by understanding what it meant to have great art or something like that

@eagles94 I put B as well for the first one, and for the second I said inadequate.

And yeah, I said emotional needs because she didn’t want to hurt their feelings.

@lily
her actions indicated those were her feelings as a child, even though it didn’t pan out to be true

@likeastarr
i can second “inadequate”
