May SAT 2011: CR Section

^that one was definetely exuberant. was the other question undefinable part of landscape or a natural force. i picked A…???

@sweetpuri: I put natural force because she seemed to be carried away by the crowd, not being able to control its force.

if you chose indefinable part of landscape, i def can’t trust you’re reasoning for exuberance… it was relentless force. i am positive but i forget the context…gah i think i may have to cancel.

was the senator one (castigated…misconduct) problem number 7 in the 25min section with the short video game one, section 3 for me

@NspiredOne

I was debating natural force, but I was in a rush so I chose A. As for the exuberant question, I am positive that is the answer.

debatable. i read the context as the highschooler bein unhappy… overall this CR was definitely as good as March…gah

i might be wrong
but i saw the passage as people being excited
over the easter holiday cuz adjectives describing
that situations were mostly positive i guess
and i thought the passage generally described how
different colors of people get along together
after the segregation act has been prohibited

idk

nobody in the whole passage was upset or angry, saying the high schooler was aggressive changes the tone of the positive vibe, i said perplexed or whatever because she was looking for eyes to connect with, spinning around, i imagined this as a confused(perplexed girl looking for someone) i forget the other word, but it had a positive connotation i think fitting the positive vibe of the passage

i dont think its exuberance because she isnt really celebrating anything

aesthetic power

lets keep up a consolidated list guys…
and lets try to talk about other questions as well, we’ve covered a lot less than we think we have

the historians were sympathetic? :(

Does anyone remember the answer to the vocab one about ghandi?
It was either preached…humbly or espoused…idr

I think they were delighted

that seemed like the consensus on this thread; they also wanted to find meaning behind the paintings or something like that

the consolidated list i put up isn’t a list of 100% sure right answers, just what i thought seemed like the majority vote here

@concretepencil94
i said sympathetic

@clandarkfire
was there any que bout ghandi?

concretepencil94: That’s what I put. I was fairly confident of my answer as well.

Anyone have any idea on the ancient civilizations mini-passage? The inverted commas of the word “right track” highlighted an unusual term or did they express unqualified approval?

wat was difficulty/limitations? the question?

and anyone get like the silicon chips one?vocab that is

^ i remember the question about silicon chips, do you remember the answer for it by any chance?

smacking: i don’t think “unqualified approval” could be correct because unqualified also means “full support of” and i’m very sure that the “right track” referred to wasn’t intended to back up the idea of them being right. i put in something other than unusual term though, something about expressing doubt

@NspiredOne: yeah i dont remember the exact words for that chip one, but it involved making them so small they would no longer work. i think “small” was the first blank actually

civilizations i think is experimental. and i put like small and functional?

the passage about ocean’s current said
"news from "whatever
does any one know
what the purpose of saying that was?
