if you didn’t notice in the jazz passage
from about line 6 to the end the author listed all the activities that a person needed to do

I remember there being an entire paragraph on how once one learns jazz, then you can express your unique identity through the music…

Honestly, now that I remember, it seemed like half of the passage was saying how hard it is to learn jazz, and then the second half went on about how you can express yourself with your skill after that…

could be either one in my opinion

i think we’re missing the one about biological cycle from the space/time passage! the question asked what rhythm referred to or something.

@dizzying - you’re thinking of the choice “its value is difficult to determine,” right?
@jd - it listed off “initiation, ceremony, etc… etc…” as things jazz musicians must do, THEN they have to find their identity. sounds demanding (moreso than contemporary musicians) to me

dizzying - Rhythm, that one was biological, okay good! :D

yes ruthie, that’s the jazz answer i was talking about. i’m pretty sure the correct answer was demanding. i really don’t think there was an option for unique identity or i would have been stuck between the two for sure.

Thanks to Dizzzying we have 3 more to go!! Cmon people now it’s pretty much the cave paintings let center on that…

oh also: the short passage about ancient inventions and modern understanding, the one that had the “right track”? please tell me it’s not on there because it was experimental, i think i screwed up on that question.

there were 4 questions about video games; arghhh i cannot remember the other one!!!

13 Q’s on paleolithic
6 Q’s on whales
8 Q’s on time/space
?? Q’s on black singer
^^^should help some :D

guys just an update: we have 57… excluding some dumb vocabs, maybe 4-5 more?

look at my previous list - i put in the number of questions we have for each… and how didyou get 8 time/space???

video games: first q, creating alternative identities?
second q, form = type
third q, passage 1 vs. passage 2 (analyzed vs harmful) <– i don’t think that’s right because passage 2 was all about how adolescents could try out different roles in video games (Erikson’s identity vs. role confusion conflict)
Fourth q, how author of passage 1 viewed passage 2 (or vice versa), can’t remember?!?! or maybe tone?!?! ahh this is driving me crazy :(

Which was the question about how the artists viewed (who though cave paintings were “comparable” to michelangelo’s) those paintings in a textbook (passage 1)?

are you sure there were 4? i can’t remember either ugh.

ruthie did you have the small passage about understanding ancient inventions and the thought process? one of the questions was about the “right track” and the other one’s answer was something about hindering understanding…

@lordfarquaad - it was to emphasize a paradox if i’m thinking of the right question.

ahh well what i do:
- count the # of q’s for each passage
- add 2 to the # of q’s, and that number is how long i spend on that passage.
For ex: whales one (or was it time/space? idk whichever came first out of the two) I allotted 8 min for, the second one, 10. unless i miscounted
therefore, whales (or whichever was first) had 6, the other 8?

it was the Gifted artists of the Paleolithic period question - thank god someone brought it up

lordfarquaad - How would some “great art historians” (passage 2) view the “grand theory” (passage 1)? (wayyy too many comparison q’s, imo)
ohh wait, that’s not what you were asking. but that’s one of the q’s ^^

dizzying - not that I remember, was it experimental? I had experimental math (thank the lord…:D)
