May SAT 2011: CR Section

Was it “evening schooling” or “keeping offices open over lunch hours”? It took me a while but I eventually went with “keeping offices open over lunch hours” because the analogy was that the use of nighttime for day time activities. Evening schooling involves utilizing space that already exists for activities that take place anyways; whereas keeping offices open means using the space that already exists for longer periods of time. I don’t know whether I went with the right choice :S reasoning may be flawed.

what did you guys get about the river question about the concert?
I put indefinable aspect of nature but it was between that and unrelenting force

Yessssssss

@shamoil
i put evening schooling, because it said that it was using the same space more of the time
i just assumed schooling ended in the evening so more schooling in the evening = same space more time

the green chem one was experimental
for the vocab one i got synthesize/divergent
river question i put relentless force

@xtol123
sorry but could you please sort of thoroughly explain the green chem one? either i can’t seem to remember it or i didnt have it… and thats bugging me =D

Concert:

GREEN CHEM = EXPERIMENTAL DROP IT

anyone remember the panorama question in the concert?

Test was hard for me because my test order was really screwed up. 4+ reading/writing sections in a row! :(

What about the Whales passage?

@■■■■
the experimental does not count and i didn’t have one that one, i had experimental writing

also for the concert ques i put exuberant something and not perplexity. i remember the panamora question but i forgot the answer choices, if someone lists them they might jog my memory

how sure are we it was unrelenting? i put indefinable because it wasn’t like the crowd was going crazy, or it wasn’t going insane…

the whales is not experiment.

Unrelenting because it pushed the girl away from where she wanted to go, I think. Was the panorama about seeing an idealized version of the city (because she read about it in textbooks)?

i think i put agressiveness as well cause he had been waiting so long to deliver his message. and he wasn’t exuberant cause he had suffered so much from not being able to go to high school.

do u guys remember the vocab one about the movie title… the choices were like critical…commeoration…

nvm sorry!!

thank god. yeah i put idealized. and i put aggressive.

What about the question right after the exuberant one, where it said she “had waited lifetimes” to do something. Was the answer something about “generations”?

@skipblooms ohhh i think i put that she was surprised/turned off by the monuments in the city

@nspiredone, not sure what passage you’re talking about…
