May SAT 2011: Math Section

@qwertynerd

 1. lol @ us both bs-ing a screenname with qwerty
 2. im pretty sure it might have been… thats 4 people now…

why would you start with 5… 3 is a prime number, 3,5,11 and its the product of them. 165

I’m pretty sure there were 2 questions regarding consecutive numbers.

1.) start 13…blah blah CONSECUTIVE = answer was II and III
2.) start at N formed from 3 consecutive PRIME INTEGERS, so i did 5+7+11 = 23 which is prime and 5711 = 385, so N = 385

my bad thanks

5711 = 385

S**T!!!
I think I started with 5, idk why :(

Damnit

Nspired, the sum had to be prime. 3+5+7 = 15 not prime

godzilla, why’d u start at 5? lol i got 165 too but i had 3511 = 165

I also started with 5,7,11 because I thought it said consecutive integers…

Hey guys what was question number 8 right before the grid ins ?

Someone needs to clear this up. Is the answer 385 or 165? D:

I got I and II for the 14 consecutive number one too.

no… starting with 5 is right… assuming it is consecutive which seems to be the consensus… 5, 7, 11
3, 5, 11 isnt consecutive

165… i put…

and im pretty sure it didn’t say consecutive. if so, the answer still better be 165…

really hoping for 385 to get that 800 score…

my logic is that if we have about half saying its consecutive and about half thats not, wouldnt it be more likely to read over something and not see consecutive, then to insert extra words in our mind? like i can see it happening in a few cases, but not like this many? who agrees?

The answer was 165 I remember clearly it not saying consecutive.

Well so far I got every question right except for the integers one because I went with 5,7,11 because I thought it said consecutive…anyone else have any input on this?

GUYS WHAT WAS THE MATH EXPERIMENTAL?!?!? Pleaaassseeee help!

^ how come about 5 people claim to have seen it then? :/

yeah i saw consecutive also
but after a few people said 165 i doubted myself

but now that a bunch of you say u say consecutive also, I stand by my original answer — 5711

It did not say consecutive, it just asked for the least sum

@brandnew3773

same exact situation… im thinkin its about a 50/50, now that this many people are saying consecutively, im pretty confident
