May SAT 2011: Math Section

Median was 25. Last question was A^(3/2). The multiples of thirteen specifically see positive integers, so both II and III worked.

What was the y/x problem? I don’t remember that question

@cinereous: I know which one you’re talking about. It was on the experimental section so don’t worry about it. I read that question over like 5 times, it made no sense whatsoever.

2^3 = 8 = V
2^2 = 4 = V

V = 8
A = 4
A^(2/3) = 2.5198420997897463295344212145564567011405029294030159601639…
A^(3/2) = 8

∴ V ∝ V^(3/2)

There you go

Pros of the topic: Xigi was here.
Cons: We were probably butt raped on the Math section.

Wait, what was the prime question? Because I keep hearing different answers and I’m not sure which ones rit

Can someone please explain to me the question and answer of the possibility over 500 question. I remember putting 6, how is the answer 18?

If I got 8 math questions wrong 2 of those being FRQ can i still get a 630?

I think the numbers were 3, 6, 7, 8
So in total there are 24 3-digit combinations,
367, 376, 387, 378, 386, 368
673, 637, 687, 678, 683, 638
763, 736, 783, 738, 768, 786,
876, 867, 837, 873, 836, 863

Of those, only 18 are over 500

and why doesn’t one of the 800’ers here post an updated combined answers post?

There are 3 choices for the first digit because it has to be 5 or greater.
There were 3 choices for the second digit because it could be anything other than the first digit.
There were 2 choices for the third digit because it could be anything other than the first and second digits.

332=18

My mistakes:

The one that was y/x

Numbers greater than 500

Ratio one; I said 1:7 instead of 1:6

Ommited the coffee/beef one

Score? Ballpark, at least?

Guys, that boat question with 12 people was 144, right?

6 factorial times 2.

I was just informed on what an experimental actually is. Unless my memory is failing I only had 9 sections… Is that possible? If someone could briefly list the 3 possible experimental’s (Math, Writing, Cr) And the subject, or a question or two from each. Thanks

Shiz guys, I think the metal question was 28.

@nicojoe are you counting the essay? there are only 9 sections otehr than the essay

@ yuvals. Thats what it is yea i had 9 plus the essay. What was the writing experimental about though? or the math im not sure which one i had

what was the answer with the exponents of n. it’s like -n^2 + n or something like that. Does anyone remember what the answer to that question was? The answer choices were -2, -1, 0, 1, 2

I think it was 2.
Was this the one where n = -1?

is there a compiled list like verbal has yet?

@james7209 I put -1.
