<p>It could not have been empathy because it didn’t relate in the context of the passage. If it was affection then yeah.</p>
<p>It was either that or language for me. I don’t know, technology for the hand didn’t fit for me because I remembered the paragraph where the author describes a person building things by himself.</p>

<p>I thought it would be brevity of interval because right after he had read that particular piece of crusoe, he would have the lawyer knocking on his door. :/</p>
<p>It was empathy and tech. </p>
<p>The chimps (& human language was tied into this) were showing affection towards each other and the tech was represented by human need for advancememnt.</p>
