<p>Undergrad: Stanford Chemical Engineering, GPA 3.2. Did Air Force ROTC to pay for it!</p>
<p>Work: 4 Years as Air Force Officer. I can't go really go into the details, but suffice to say that I assumed a major leadership role handling a high visibility weapons acquisition program with a large budget. I'm confident that I can write some solid essays about my experience that will make my work look impressive.</p>
<p>GMAT: 700.</p>
<p>Here's the way I see it: I have a low GPA but from a good school and a challenging program. Hopefully, I can get some bonus points for being in the military and my experience will impress the admissions committee. GMAT is ok. What do you think?</p>

<p>I really can’t answer your question specifically; however, I do think that military experience is looked on favorably by a number of graduate schools. If you do not have luck with the schools you have listed, you might look at colleges that offer programs at the top military programs (like Command and General Staff and War College). Officers at those schools often complete a master’s degrees concurrently with the military program. You could also check out the universities that work with education centers on military bases. I know the University of Maryland was huge twenty years ago when we were in Germany.</p>
<p>It’s just a different direction for doing the same thing. If you find a college that offers on-base programs, you know they will be military friendly. Good luck.</p>
<p>If I may offer my humble opinion: I think that as long as you can provide a very compelling reason as to why and MBA will further your career, there should be no red flags in your application.</p>
<p>I think your stats are quite strong. MBA programs love rocket scientists (Engineering is close enough), AND junior Officers. Your GMAT score is outstanding. Better than average chance at all three going only by what you’ve posted.</p>
