MBA for Int'l Non-profit Management

I'll be at SAIS in the fall, and am planning to apply for a dual ma-mba program. I'm interested in non-profit managmenet. Unfortunately, I have little "mba" work experience.

graduated cum laude from ivy with double major in polisci/english

peace corps, directed profitable projects for various organizations.

800 GRE math, hoping for comparable score in GMAT

I'm banking on solid internship experience in the fall and a recommendation to boost my application. My question is, should I take on an internship in the private sector to show i can cut it in a top mba program, or continue with my current route and work in non-profit?

Thank you!

yale is pretty strong with non-profit
