MBA - Harvard, Stanford, Berkely

Hello, I am a Canadian undergraduate business major, studying at the Laurier School of Business, in Waterloo, Canada. I am currently in my third year, and I would like to know what my chances are at those schools mentioned above. Here are my credentials:

GPA: First year: 4.00
Second year: 4.00
Third Year: 3.89 (Expect this to go up after finishing this year, I got a 75% on one law assignment)
Fourth Year: Expect my GPA to be greater than 3.8

I am a TA for a business class right now, and expect to be one next year as well.
I have been an Laurier honor student for the last 2 years, and will be again this year. I expect myself to be one next year as well.
I have gotten a co-op last summer at Procter & Gamble and will be going to a co-op placement at the Royal Bank of Canada this summer.
I am in the top 5% (and most of the times, higher), in all my classes.

I know that this isn’t much, and you really can’t judge my chances at the MBA schools I listed before, however lets say I score very well on my GMAT and also get a very good job after I graduate. Also, lets say that I have an amazing essay and recommendation letters,

Do I have a legitimate chance at the schools I listed at the top? BTW my major is finance.

If you need any more information please let me know,

usually don’t you have to have good work experience to get into these MBA programs?

You are getting way to far ahead of yourself , get a job and bust your as to move up asap…

None of the first-tier US MBA programs routinely consider applications from individuals with less than two years post-Bachelor’s experience, three or four years are preferred. Do your homework; this is very fundamental stuff.

I understand that but I’m asking you if I’m on the right track so far. @theanaconda @atuckertransfer @toptier

You are, however:

In essence, only a fraction of “your application” has thus far been written.

What I’m worried about the most is that them giving me little credit for my GPA and other things I have done in university because WLU is not a very famous university,
For post-Bachelor’s work, I have strong connections in the Royal Bank of Canada.

@toptier

I wouldn’t worry too much for three reasons:
a. Your record (GPA and likely recommendations especially) will speak for themselves; particularly

b. When complemented by excellent GMAT results (it seems likely to me that your GMAT scores will be important both for the usual reasons and to validate your GPA) – prepare diligently; and
c. WLU is your undergraduate school (no sense worrying about things that cannot be altered).
