I'm still an undergrad student but might consider an MBA in the future and I was wondering whether calculus is a prerequisite for applying to top business schools. If so, what level of calculus is recommended that I should go up to.

Most MBA schools, especially the top ones, want to see a calculus course in your transcript. If you can do two semester (one year) of calculus, it is even better.

Thanks for the response cbreeze but what specific levels of calculus would I take for those two semesters? (calc1+2, calc2+3, or calc3+linear algebra)

It’s hard for me to decipher without looking at the course descriptions. My kids took a linear algebra in HS after calc BC.

I would take the hardest classes you can reasonably do well in.

How could you not have taken Calculus by the time you graduate? Most people took it in high school.

You should be able to do derivatives, integrals, volume, and sequence/series problems.

Math is important in any MBA curriculum. Statistics, Cost Accounting, and Project Analysis will all require calc or better.
