MBA straight after undergrad?

My university (UCF) offers a one-year, full time MBA program to be able to complete an MBA in a short amount of time rather than two years like other programs. Is it a good idea to go straight from undergrad(likely accounting with minor in computer science or IT maybe) and get my MBA right away? Or should I get some work experience before getting it. I know that it means nothing without work experience, but the way I'm seeing it is that I'm going to want to do it eventually and I need more credit hours to sit for the CPA (though I don't think im interested in public accounting for the long run), so completing the MBA right away makes sense to me. I'm looking at a possible career as an FBI agent, and they prefer applicants with CPAs. Any ideas for or against? Thanks

How about concentrating on your first semester of classes before worrying about grad school?

Usually it is not advised to get a MBA right after undergrad due to the lack of experience.

thanks juggernaut, thats what i heard but i was just wondering because my school offers a one year mba and advertise that no work experience is necessary. i thinking that, even though the mba will carry no weight w/o work experience, its the same if i get it and then work for 7 years or so for it to carry weight as opposed to doing the traditional opposite, but i guess thats not the way to go. i just worry about taking time off of work when im more advanced to get an mba, which would lead to the credits necessary for the cpa.

Your school advertises that because they want students to pay another year of tuition and expenses.

You will be wasting your time doing the MBA. Get you MSAcc if you want to take the CPA exam.

As is, I would be graduating with 135 credit hours due to AP credits on top of the usual 120, so i would like to maybe look into getting the extra 15 hours while im still in undergrad so i can put the grad school on hold while still being able to sit for the CPA. Thanks for the advice guys
