If I want to pursue MBA later in the future which major is at least appropriate for it? Econ?

Thanks.

You can major in anything and still get an MBA. It’s like how you don’t need a science degree to go to medical school. My genetics TA wants a career in business and he’s getting a masters in biology.

I suppose if you want a business-y major, Econ, Management Science and Math are the closest you’ll get. Rady is offering minors in business and accounting, though.

Major doesn’t matter for MBA. I’m over at Kellogg (Northwestern) for my PhD and I’ve met people who graduated with all sorts of degrees (including philosophy, biology, history, and others).
