I was wondering if anyone would be able to offer their opinion on whether or not it would be wise to take MCB 102 and 104 concurrently this spring (along with physics 7B, too). 102 is a prereq for 104, but I've not heard awesome things about Urnov, who teaches 104 in the fall, so I was hoping that taking them concurrently might save me from the wrath of a disreputable professor; however, I'm not sure how great the wrath of the workload would be.

That combination is far from suicidal, unless you’re an amateur. Also, Urnov’s tests aren’t tough and his lectures are quite nice, so I have no idea why you want to avoid him.

Whoa, buddy, whoa. Clearly, I don’t know how hefty the course load for either class is, hence why I was asking. Thanks, I guess. Hopefully I’m not too much of an amateur.

140 + 150 is what suicidal truly refer to.

kill me plz. x_x

Wanted to hear some more thoughts on this topic - bumping up this thread. Can anyone else confirm that taking these 2 is doable? any negatives of this combo?

MCB 104 is easy, you just have to do practice problems and you can do those with headphones on and just plow through the book.

102, haven’t taken it, but I heard its a lot of memorization (more so than the usual).

^^102 is a prereq for 104. You can’t take 104 without taking 102 concurrently.
