I was admitted to McCombs!

I applied around October 10th (but definitely in time for the priority deadline pool).
I’m in the top 10% of my class (around 4/45 but I’m not 100% positive about that).
SAT: 750 M, 680 CR, 730 W (Comp: 2160 - One Sitting)
ACT: 31 Comp. (Not sure of breakdown but also taken in one sitting)
Admitted on November 20th into the BHP. I found out about getting into McCombs and UT first and then got the call that I was admitted to the BHP a couple of hours later.

Anyone else?

Applied: Early September
Rank: 9/473
SAT: 2080 M 700 CR 670 W 710
ACT: 30

Auto-admit: Early November
McCombs Acceptance: Mid November
BHP Rejection/Plan II acceptance: late November

I will probably double major in Plan II and McCombs (probably finance).

Admitted to McCombs and BHP
Date: 10/16/2012
Rank: 4/473
TS: The only ones I submitted were my Nov 2011 SAT (2180–M:790 CR: 640 [lol] W: 740) and Chem ST: 780, Physics ST: 800, Math II ST: 800. LOL Thank goodness my SAT is lots higher now…
UT Admit: Late October
Major: McCombs Mid November, BHP the Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

@f1yin9hi9h congrats on BHP! looks like we’re classmates!

@haleyssmile Hey! It’s Shannon, that girl from the UT group that you added!

I’m not sure if anyone can answer my questions, but I had two regarding McCombs.

First of all, how many students do they accept each year? (Not number that enroll, just how many are accepted…)

Secondly, I know McCombs is extremely prestigious and is one of the premier undergraduate business schools (and graduate too) and so they not only receive applications from the highest achieving candidates, they accept exceptionally qualified applicants that end up turning down the offer to go to Ivys, Stanford, MIT, Michigan, UPenn, etc. So with that being said, does McCombs itself have a wait-list option, where if another candidate denies their offer, someone else is offered that spot? I know UT has a wait-list option, but I’m wondering if it’s major-specific?

Thanks.

According to their site they had about 7000 applicants last year and about 1400 were accepted. Around 750 actually enrolled.
