I heard it's really hard to make an A in Mccord's class, but he is really good at making sure you actually know chemistry and prepares you well if you are wanting to go into health professions (which I am). The only things I've heard about Vandenbout is that he/she gives out more A's, but that's about all I know so far. Can anyone who's had Vandenbout tell me more about him/her who's the better professor out of the two?

bumpp…has no one seriously ever had Vandenbout for CH301??? There has to be someone out there who can tell me more about this professor…

I’m curious about vandenbout as well since I’m signed up for his class. I read some reviews of him on myedu a while back for chem 301 and apparently he was rather easy. But for some reason those reviews disappeared. If anyone has anything to share on him we’d love to hear it.

if you go to ratemyprofessor.com, you can see where past students go on and give tips or state their view on that professor. The teacher you are talking about is on there, i think it said he had a 2.2 out of 5 rating. Then again, im not sure how credible the site is, but it might help!:)

The definitive ratings site for UT is MyEdu… try that.

Vandenbout doesn’t have any reviews on Myedu…I wouldn’t be asking on this forum if he did -__-

wow sassy. he was just trying to help. so you’re saying you wouldn’t be asking if the information was readily available… -looks at your other threads that occupy 1/5 of the front page at any given time-
there are 42 reviews for him, look harder. sometimes it glitches up and ends up not being listed under the professor when you add it to the schedule.
