McGill Acceptance Decisions Class 2024 (Entering 2020)

Hiiiii, I am an international student currently studying in Ontario High School. I have applied to science and nutrition. My application status is “ready for review”, it’s been like that for 2 months. Does that mean that McGill has not reviewed my application yet? Am I likely to be accepted?

@efeuue Canadian students from outside Quebec are the last to get decisions. They may not come out until May.

What about international students doing A-levels?I submitted my app back in October and my app is still ready for review.

I am an international student from the US, I applied to the Schulich School of Music for jazz performance. The last of my documents were submitted early March but my application still says ready for review. Does anyone know when I might get my admission decision?

@n0walter Schulich has its own admissions office. You may want to give them a call.

@TomSrOfBoston What about A-level students?

Hey guys! Do you know when could I apply to the Minor programs at McGill?

I’m an international student who attends US High School outside of the US with a 95 average. I applied back in October for chemical engineering and my Minerva status still says ‘Further Reviewed Required’ since January. Does still not getting an answer mean my chances of getting in are low??

@nourvana what are your ACT or SAT scores?

I saw that last year’s cut-off line for Biological, Biomedical and Life Sciences Group was 95%. My avg is currently sitting at 91-92%, do I still have a chance to get into this program?

@efeuue That far below the cutoff is likely to be a rejection. Nutrition is under FAES and has lower cutoffs.

Hi guys ! I am currently completing my “Swiss Maturity” which is the high school diploma in Switzerland (it is the equivalent of the French baccalaureate except that we have more subjects [14 in total] and one year more too since we usually finish the curriculum at 19yo). I’m very surprised that I’m still in “Further review required” although I completed my checklist 6 weeks ago. I apply for Desautels (1st choice) and Interfaculty, B.A. & Sc. (2nd choice). My overall averages have always been 5.0/6.0 or more over the last 4 years (this corresponds to about 16.5-17/20 for the French Baccalaureate). What about Swiss students at McGill? Is it normal that I still haven’t received any answers?

Got in. International A level student here with predicted 3A* 1A and a 1500 on the SAT.

Hi guys, I’m a Canadian Student studying overseas. I still haven’t received my decision yet. I have a 1540 in SAT, 800 in Maths II and straight A’s in As level with a predicted of 3A*1A but I still haven’t heard from Mcgill. They haven’t even asked for my predicted grades. Wanted to go to Mcgill due to some personal reasons but now I am thinking about committing to either UBC or UofT, probably UBC. Should I wait another month or not?

@TomSrOfBoston I got 1370 on SAT I

Hey how do you get into honours college at McGill, is it from first year or not?
@TomSrOfBoston

@yw123 McGill does not have an “honors college” like many US universities do. You can choose to do an honors degree in most majors. That generally requires more courses in your major and an honors thesis in your final year. An honors degree is recommended if you plan to go on to graduate study in that field.

My applicant status still says ‘Ready for Review’ and I’m seriously banking on a McGill acceptance to study in Canada. I am an international student and applied for computer science. Is that a bad sign that they still haven’t gotten back to me? Also any idea when they will?
I also got into UofT, UBCO and waitlisted at UBCV

I’ve been told by my coach that a lot of students are in our situation right now, that McGIll is taking a bit longer than usual (I guess as some US colleges are)
My applicant status has been saying “Further review required” for 2 months now, ever since they requested results of the 2nd semester, which we provided 1 1/2 ago now…
Was denied CS in February but waiting for response to LSA. International student.

Anyone else have heard anything?

So that people don’t feel alone in this wait–my daughter has been RDP for months for BA program. She’s not optimistic about getting in because of a lower ACT. She is IB and has a good GPA and predicted IB score but Mcgill clearly wants those high ACTs. She has to commit to her US school on May 1st. We figure she will commit, we’ll pay the $500 deposit and can always forfeit it if Mcgill comes through. She has dual French/American citizenship so the low Mcgill tuition would make losing $500 well worth it.
