McGill Acceptance Decisions Class 2024 (Entering 2020)

An update, my daughter, a U.S. high school student move from RDP to Waitlist yesterday. She went ahead and accepted at a U.S. school and if eventually accepted at McGill she will make her decision then.

My son is still in RDP status. He got accepted at University of Toronto and several American universities. What’s your daughter ACT score?

@Ctguy23

Same. Think my son is going to commit to Toronto next week.

We’re in NY/Westchester. What college at U of T was your son accepted to?

I am an international A-Level student with AAA predicted and US hs diploma, 4.0 average. My status is still Ready-For-Review, I’m getting worried since i’ll have to pay the deposit to my US school very soon and McGill is my top choice. Anyone else still with RfR status?

Anyone know how to get in touch with the admissions office??

I applied to Faculty of Arts. My status is still Ready-For-Review. Mcgill is my first choice in Canada.

Im a university transfer from the states (with Canadian citizenship) I applied in November and sent all transcripts by January and mine still says “ready for review” I emailed and they said there’s nothing I can do and decisions can come out until June 2020. Ive been accepted into Concordia but my first choice is McGill. My two apps are arts and science and both say “ready for review” and have said that for months with no change.

I am also a university transfer from California (with Canadian Citizenship). I applied in Dec 2019 to BSc Biol, Biomed & Life Sciences and BSc Neuroscience and mine also say “Ready for Review”. I got admitted to UC Davis, UCI, Purdue & UCSD so far and have to accept UC’s by June 1st, 2020. I hope Mcgill releases the decision hopefully soon. The waiting game is unbearable with hardly any communication, unlike US universities.

same I have to accept concordia by June 1st, so hopefully hopefully we hear back in may. I guess university transfers from United States take the longest in Canada. In Georgia especially it is so easy to transfer colleges

you can look up their email on google. I got a reply later the same evening, although not helpful

@EditorNYC Trinity college.

Those who are RFR or RDP are your stats at or close to the minimum?

Don’t know since they didn’t give specific stats for Swiss students taking the Matura exam.

@l310m56h , they are rather easy to get over the phone.

Hello, I have been following up with this forum for quite a while, and I have just now been updated on my Mcgill status. I applied for Mcgill (Desautels - Mechanical Engineering) back in September -the first day when applications opened. I updated my profiles, adding my mid-years grades in January and added a letter of extenuating circumstances. I had been Reviewed-Decision Pending since January, and now ( 4-30 ) Mcgill announced that I was waitlisted in both of my choices.

I also applied to a Bachelor of Management at U.B.C ( Okanagan ) and got accepted quite quickly.

Here are my stats:

Act:
Composite: 30
English: 29
Math: 30
Science: 33
Reading: 33

Superscore: 31

Class average: 3.9/4.0 Weighted 3.8/4.0 Unweighted

Nationality: French

I moved from France to the United States in 2016 -my freshmen year- so I needed to add a letter of extenuating circumstances for the lapsus of time of adaptation required. I also went to a high school in Alabama and was the only “international” student there.

My questions are:

Are there any other students, who are also waitlisted?

Are there students from the previous years, that could explain the waitlisting system at McGill?

Lastly,

Would you consider my grades/ Act result to be competitive for Mcgill?

Thank you.

@Leonardicus The published minimum ACT for both programs is 31. So you were borderline. This year movement off the waitlist is unpredictable at all universities. Good luck!

My son’s status changed from RDP to Waitlist today. ACT scores of 31, 3.9UW GPA, several APs. He already accepted U of T

Same. Accepted to U of T and waitlisted at McGill today. So odd, but I’m good to hear that we’re not the only ones in this boat.

In the US everyone is getting off waitlists. Think the same will happen with McGill?

McGill status is still Further Review Required. International. Also accepted U of T yesterday.

Hi, I’m an international student/Ontario public high school
GPA: 91.3% (but my ENG 4U just got 81%, last year cut-off was 85%, I’m super worried about that)
IELTS:6.5(6.5/6.5/6.5/6)
Status: Ready For Review( From Feb until now…)
My school uploaded S2 Midterm Marks on April 30th. l am considering that is it still possible for me to get an offer? I’m so nervous, cuz I think my marks are so bad for applying McGill and my marks uploaded really slow than the other students ( My S1 midterm+final marks uploaded on Feb 7th.)
