I am an international student(outside US )
I applied to nursing (Ingram school)
My status had been remain the same (ready to review) from Dec till Now
Is there any chance for me to get in
I am a Canadian student in Ontario. I got accepted into BSc Comp sci back in March with a 95% avg. I also applied to Software Eng but its been on ready for review forever now. My final avg is 93.8 (because of English) but 95% without English. Does anyone know when the decisions will be rolled out for Soft Eng and do you think I have a chance for it?
I had my status as ready for review till the last week. Even though my predicted grades were way above the cutoffs. 2A*2A and 1540 in SAT, 800 in Math 2. Now I got an email that I have been waitlisted because all the seats are full. Is there a chance that McGill overlooked my application?
I got waitlisted because of a B in AP Physics last semester but I have an A as of midterms… should I submit my midterm report card and hope that helps me out?
Yes
Did you ask them if it was because of the B or is it just an assumption?
@Frigpot13456346u I called Mcgill and explained my situation and they said it was probably the B that ruined my chances because I have identical stats to my twin sister who was admitted but she didn’t take this class.
I just got off the waitlist today for management.
All my worries went away today, as I got off the waitlist for BCom and accepted the offer of admissions.
My son got into Arts yesterday, despite having applied in Nov., submitting his midterm grades in January, and meeting and exceeding all the grade/entry requirements. It’s probably too late for him to seriously consider, but can’t help but wonder if the timing had anything to do with McGill’s announcement the day before that they’d be going online for fall.
@EditorNYC My daughter received her acceptance today. She had already accepted at a SLAC in the states for the May 1 deadline. We could forfeit the deposit for that school as McGill is a big draw but it sounds like the freshman would have to live at home. Further, I fear that they could do online in spring, then she would do her entire freshman year at home. Ugh…
anyone receive anything yet? I am still “ready for review”
I’m an international student and on Apr 1 McGill asked for my estimated final grades from my school. I uploaded them the same day but my application still says FRR. I’m definitely worried as I see June 1 as the deadline for accepting offers? Definitely worried that I won’t be accepted
I am an international student
Yesterday I got in to nursing and education (with admitted and pending final results)
So guys please be patient
If you are good, you can get in.
I am getting very worried. I have to accept my offer from concordia on June 1st, and it is currently May 29th and under both of my applications I am still “ready for review”. they say they give decisions until June 2020, but is that anytime in June or the 1st or the end. I am just getting very worried and wonder if they have even looked at my application given it has said “ready for review” since December.
Hello,
I’m admitted to McGill’s Mechanical Engineering program. On Minerva it says that I’m admitted as a U1 student (completed A-Levels). However, the amount of transfer credits I’d gain from A-Levels is less than 23. Does that mean I still have to take U0 courses. If so, will I then be classified as a U0 student? Although I’ll have completed all prerequisites required for U1 courses. If I was admitted to U0, I’ll be taking only 21 credits so in order to be considered full time I’ll have to take an extra 3 credits, can I choose these 3 credits from U1 courses. Thank you.
My daughter was admitted to BioEng last year and had 27 credits from her AP classes. She was considered a U1 but still had to take one or 2 classes with U0. These were a class specific to engineering such as intro to engineering and linear algebra (not offered at her HS). It messed up a little bit her schedule (d/t conflict) but she is doing a May semester to catch up the class she could not take!
I would think that you may have the same type of experience such as take 1 or 2 classes with U0 depending on compulsory classes. Officially though you will be considered a first year U1!
Let me know if you have more questions!
Are you a transfer student too? I’m the same way. Transferring from out of Canada. Had to accept Concordia just in case. My applications to both faculties say “Ready for Review” since January. Admissions Office said early to mid June for decisions but still nothing.
Anybody having information about the Desautels waiting list and how late in summer one can be accepted from the waiting list?
finally became RDP
