@student333z Dual US/Canadian citizen, living in the US.
I’m American. @student333z
@ShrimpBurrito If you are getting Canadian tuition, will you adopt my kids so I can get Canadian tuition? I’ll pay you a finder’s fee. :))
Funny you say that, @SwimmingDad, and I’ll mention this in case it helps someone out there. Three of my kids are adopted, and they are not eligible for Canadian citizenship through me (I was born in Canada). Only my biological kids are. My oldest adopted son, who loves U of Toronto, is pretty bummed about it!
@ShrimpBurrito That’s so crazy.

Has anyone heard back about bursary applications?
I’m a international student doing A levels with predicted grades AAAA in physics,math,chem and bio. My Application has been under review for few weeks now and I’ve applied for major undergraduate entrance scholarship, anyone knows my chances of getting into the faculty of engineering and receiving scholarship?
i got waitlisted from B arts&science and Biomed programs. A little upset because I did have the grades for both. Applying international (America, NJ) though and know they have to admit 50% from Quebec so the chances for me were slimmer as it was. I had a 34 on the act and a 4.2 gpa. Two AP’s junior year and 4 senior year. All is good! Hoping for the best and hope the decision from the waiting list comes back before may 1, good or bad. Just want an answer before I commit somewhere else! Good luck to all of you!
That is not true.
@sufferingkat Keep in mind they look at unweighted gpa for academic classes. Good luck!
Hi guys,
I had a question about my application status on Minerva for McGill. So I submitted all my materials about 2 weeks ago after it said “Further Review Required” (was missing my mid-year transcript), but it still hasn’t updated to show “Ready for Review”. However, there is an option next to transcript to upload a new version. Does it expect me to upload another version?
What was also concerning was that I called the McGill office and they told me that on their end, my application shows “Ready for Review”, but it doesn’t show that way on my end so I’m super kinda worried. Anyone else have a similar error? What should I do?
I’m an American student by the way.
@yesasan1 I had the exact same thing on my portal, and it totally freaked me out. After you upload your mid-year grades, it will stay as “further review required” until your decision is ready. For me, it took exactly a week until my I got accepted. Just be patient - waiting is the hardest part!!
@yesasan1 Same thing happened to my son last year. He called admissions an they looked and said he was fine…but the call put his mind at ease. You may want to do the same thing. (He was accepted about a week later.) Good luck!
Hi everyone. I was wonderring if anyone could tell me whether McGill looks at 11th and 10th grade transcript bc I see a lot of people with high stats being rejected. Is it possibly because of the transcrippt for previous years
@khanh229 Are you American? If so they look at grades 10 and 11 and usually first semester of grade 12. If not American the minimum requirements are on the website.
Is a TOEFL score of 105 good enough for mcgill?
A TOEFL score of 100+ is good for virtually every university in North America.
Decision: Waitlist
Faculty: Arts
Citizenship status: just American
UW GPA: 3.9
ACT: 34
SAT: 1550, SATII: French 800
Overall I’m pretty upset and surprised. I was worried about the delay after sending semester grades, but I wasn’t expecting a waitlist. My decision letter says they inform most applicants in May, so it seems like I won’t be able to attend. McGill was my top choice and a great university, and I wish the best for everybody else.
@missunitedkates That is very surprising!
