just got admitted to management! was waitlisted for science a few weeks ago so i was nervous but i’m super happy right now.
Got my major undergraduate entrance scholarship! $10,000 a year (which I believe is the highest amount for international students)!!!
1550 SAT, 4.5 GPA, 790 and 740 on subject tests, 11 APs. U.S. student in the Faculty of Arts. I wrote really creative and passionate essays that I wasnt sure the scholarship committee would like; glad to know the risk paid off!

@lesjubilants Congrats…that is huge! My son is a U0 in the Faculty of Arts. In spite of getting strep going into midterms he texted this to me today: “Wouldn’t want to be anywhere else for college!” 
Could someone chance me moving off the waitlist for the Arts?

@Maciston What is your unweighted GPA in core academic classes? All that matters for McGill is that GPA and test scores.
Is it normal to still have reviewed-decision pending? I have it for both of my programs (bioresource engineering in faculty of agriculture + faculty of science microbiology). It’s been like that for about a week now.
@SwimmingDad It depends, what counts as core academic classes?
Does that mean all academic classes that are required for graduation at my high school or all classes that are a part of the core subjects (Math, Science, Social Science, English, and Foreign Language)?
@Maciston What is your unweighted GPA? That is what McGill uses.
@Maciston I believe that is correct. No PE, no Art/Performing Arts, etc.
@SwimmingDad @TomSrOfBoston If that’s the case and counting all my social science electives, 3.6. That does not include freshmen year as McGill does not use that and also does not include any of the elective technology, business, fine arts, and PE classes I have taken.
@Maciston Hard to say. Your scores (it would seem) are close to last year’s minima:

Thanks. What is the chance to get off wait list at Management? Some early post said they might only get back till June or when school begins.
@pd2424, were you wait listed in management before 3-12-2018 too, since you only mentioned that you were wait listed for science.
@LW no, i was never wait listed for management, only science! management had just been pending for a few weeks after i got the science wait list decision. my stats are: 32 ACT, 3.71 uw gpa/4.32 w gpa
