Got Accepted! Very excited!
@cmlhe congrats
@cmlhe were you waitlisted? What are your stats?
My status has been “reviewed- decision pending” for about a month now, being a canadian student studying abroad. I am starting to lose hope at this point.
Mine has been reviewed - decision pending for 1 and a half month now. I’m an international applicant and all my friends with the same grades or even lower have gotten into the same program (don’t mean to sound entitled or anything but McGill is the only option I have left and I really want to attend.
I would call McGill admissions and check in…just say you want to make sure they have received everything they need from you. Just a thought.
International applicant to the faculty of engineering, specifically Mechanical. I applied in early December with predicted grades (A levels) : 3 A*s and 1 A. My status changed to reviewed - decision pending in April when the other students at my school were told to submit their mid-year grades (I had submitted them in January). The other got their decisions the very next day and some two weeks later.
I’ve waited all of April and May and June has now started with still no decision. Called service point multiple times who repeat the same thing about grades not being competitive enough (don’t mean to be entitled at all), but my friends got in with 3 As and some of them applied on the deadline day. And they keep extending the time by when decisions are gonna be made and can’t give a certain date even now. Anyways, it’s June now and time to get the CAQ and study permit before classes commence is running out. McGill is the only option I have left and a place I really want to attend.
Consider this me crying over something I have no control over but I’m looking for any answers I can get.
Thanks for reading.
Tomorrow would be a good day for any student on a Canadian U waitlist to make a call to that U (today’s a holiday or today would be a good day…)
