How generous is McGill University with their financial aid? How about scholarships and grants? If you had to compare it to any college in the US, what would it be? Give me a couple reasons why many American students attend McGill. Thanks!

lol lol

Mcgill gave me $ 0. 00000. I was a Canadian citizen, so McGill was cheap anyways. I guess a lot of the reasons american students go to McGill boil down to 1) Even without financial aid and citizenship, the sticker price at McGill is about 20 k cheaper than top privates in the US.

2) Great international rep.
3) The adventure of living in Montreal, arguably the best college town in the world. (Drinking age is 18 too).

Well, at least $0.00 is better than $.....uh....hey wait a minute!! Yeah it doesn't matter anymore because I just read that they don't have a neuroscience major. Tough luck old bean...pats himself on the back....

Out of curiosity, are all the classes taught in French? What proportion of the student body is francophone?

They debated over that a few years ago...All class(except French) are taught in English

: / That's a bit disappointing. But to be able to live on campus/Montreal, one needs to know French, right?

You don't need to know French. Montreal/Quebec has more English-speaking peeps than French-speaking peeps. If that sounds absurd, put it this way: Most French-speaking Quebecians (is that even a word?) know English, and many citizens don't even know French, but they know English. I did some reading on this so don't say I'm full of doodoo. ;)
