Those universities don't take transfer students from abroad, do they?
Also, I heard somewhere that McGill was giving away grants for French students, is that true?

I don't think McGill gives away grants, but student of French nationality get to pay Quebec-resident tuition rate (which is dirt cheap by US standards)

Tight. How much is the tuition rate, basically? In US $?

Many canadian schools are highly subsidized by the government. The international student tuition per year is usually between $9,082-10,033 USD. Room and board costs around $5,000/year. The average Freshman year student grant is around $3,000.

Yep, I know but I'm French and La Sorbonne has an exchange program from every school in Quebec. UToronto was my first choice in Canada--oh well.

Do they have a good economics program at McGill? I'm more looking for a Californian college but I guess I'll take anything as far as possible from Paris.

Quebec tuition is about $1600 (canadian dollars) a year (but we are talking tuition only there).

Yeah, but I'll go for free I think, which is always nice. Thanks.

Does McGill have rolling admissions?

Uh? Don't know what that means, sorry.

umm, what do you mean by "go for there for free?" Even though you are French, that doesn't mean you receive "special status" in our country. Canadians loath the fact that some French speaking Quebeckers see themselves as a "distinct society."

No, I mean that French colleges have an exchange program with Quebec. You get to choose a college (McGill, or course) and if your grades are above a 3.0 (a french 12/20), you're basically good to go. You don't pay the Quebec college tuition, but the French one, which is about $4.72. So yeah, i'd go for "free".

Ah, an exchange program is a different thing, also usually a 1 year thing, which one would do at the French license or maîtrise level (which means about U3 courses at McGill). That's about all I know.

I know. I'll be a freshman this year, so I got to do two years, to get a DEUG (like an AD), then (try to) transfer my credits at McGill and get my licence, and then transfer my licence to the US, to get a BD.
