McGill, Toronto, or UBC?

Hey guys!

I did some research on Mcgill University, University of Toronto, and University of British Columbia. Basically, it turns out these three are the top schools in Canada. Majority of the rankings show that Toronto and McGill beat UBC by a bit. The thing is, I don't like UBC because even though it's good...it's so isolated in Vancouver. There's no major cities, etc near there. Only like the state of Washington, etc.

I wanted to know what each college is good at...because they all seem pretty prestigious and VERY worth going to. I feel like University of Toronto is the best because it's in Toronto, a HUGE MAJOR city and the college is just well known around the world.

I feel like McGill is right behind Toronto especially because it seems very prestigious and like an ivy-league.

UBC...I don't know...campus seems really nice...as well as McGill and Toronto.

Please tell me what each are like and what they are good at.

An upperclassman I'm close to got into McGill and waiting for Toronto. He says Toronto is good but McGill is better.

I'm an international student.

Thanks!

I am not sure what you mean by “isolated in vancouver” Vancouver is a major city.
Whether McGill is better than Toronto is debatable. If you are in Canada most people will say Toronto and Queens are the top schools followed by McGill and UBC but it’s really all relative as there are no bad schools in Canada per se. So it’s just case of Princeton versus Harvard if you want an analogy on the difference. Also, you probably need to provide some information on what programs you are interested in, if you want more nuanced feedback.
