Thanks , Tom. We are one of those schools on west coast that may not be familiar although rank top 5 in our state- public school.
Hi guys! I was wondering how the individual program requirements work w/ regards to AP/Honors classes for US students…for e.g., Life Sciences requires you to have an A- average from grades 10-12, but it doesn’t specify anything about the rigor of classes taken–do they differentiate between an A- student w/ all regular classes and an A- student w/ all honors/AP?
How’s everyone holding up? Getting more and more concerned that there will be a strong possibility that our class of 2021 seniors may not get to start in person in the fall- does anyone have any insight on this in Canada-? If McGill is your top choice would you still send your student if it were online?
I applied as soon as the portal open and submitted grades right after they opened too. I have a 4.0 but I chose not to submit my scores. They say decisions roll out based on how good your stats are so will not submitting my SAT mean I will hear back later?
At his point there is uncertainty as to whether even American colleges will be back to “normal” this fall. My guess is that McGill will be open for on campus education in the fall but with restrictions. Proof of vaccination may be required to live on campus and attend in person classes. That depends on ramping up the vaccination program in both the US and Canada.
I am worried about the exact same thing. I put in my AP scores, APUSH 5, Micro 5 and Macro 4. I calculated my GPA through the way McGill does it (only grades 10 11 12, unweighted) and I have a 4.03 so I am hoping I still hear back early.
I heard that someone on Reddit got accepted today for Fall 2021 at Mcgill, although I am not sure if it is true. Are people getting their acceptances now?
I saw that too! Who knows- they didn’t give much information. Still waiting here. I don’t think any on this site have posted about acceptances!
Someone from my daughter’s high school got accepted earlier in the fall. He plays baseball and was recruited, though.
No change on my daughter’s application yet. Still “ready for review”. Fingers crossed.
It’s the same with my daughter. Waiting patiently.
Still waiting here too …,
Hi everyone! Just got my decision for B.A. today at 9:45pm (quite random haha). Im a US applicant with a 3.95 UW, 35 ACT, 3 AP tests (school doesn’t offer many) with all 5s! Wishing everyone luck, still haven’t gotten a decision for B.A./B.S.
Congratulations! With your stats no surprise that you are in the first batch.
Other decisions should be coming out shortly.
Congratulations! Did you get an email or just checked your portal?
Congratulations!!!
Congratulations! When did you apply???
Congrats! Did your portal status say something other than “ready for review” before you got your offer?
I got an email that said Admissions Decision Notification!
Thanks! I applied in mid October, self-reported my grades in early December, and officially submitted tests ~Dec 23
