McGraw Hill's ACT 2011

Do you think McGraw Hill's ACT 2011 prep book is a good indication of the ACT's difficulty or is too easy?

Can someone please let me know. Thanks.

68 views and no responses? Please can someone help me out. My friend is wondering.

Ummm Ive taken the ACT 3 times and I never really studied so i tried a practice test in a Mcgraw Hill study book and it seems really pretty accurate to me.

Thank you.

Are they any other opinions on McGraw Hill’s ACT book?

Everyone on CC seems to hate it and says it’s easier than the actual ACT, but I don’t see it.

I think it’s around the same.

I was taking one from McG today and there are instances where they literally take the same math questions straight from The Real ACT Book and replace the numbers. :</p>

Any other opinions?

Thanks, echopath.

i have a question on McGraw’s as well. Do you think their curve for the ACT is too forgiving?

If I’m not mistaken, it’s not really a curve. It’s just a formula that they give you to find a score.

As you said, it is too forgiving most of the times, though.

I don’t think so. You have to subtract points for the curve in English and only add points in math and science, probably meaning that more kids do better in English than they do it math and science.

its super easy from my experience my scores were not accurate at all

I just did the reading section in the 2012 book and only missed 1 when on the real test I have never gotten higher than a 31…

From my experience so far, definitely easier.
