McGraw-Hill's ACT Practice Tests

Has anyone used McGraw-Hill's ACT Practice Tests? How accurate are they/ how much like the real test? For the science part in particular.

I don't know about the science section but overall Mcgraw and hill are NOT good test books

If you get the 10 ACT Practice tests ones (which I did), they are plenty of practice but the English is way way way harder than it really is. I don't know about science (since I do horribly on all tests), but I suspect that it would be harder than the actual test as well.

Overall, if you want a lot of practice, it's not a bad idea having 10 practice tests at your disposal. However, keep in mind that the English has tons of grammar mistakes and some of the answers are wrong.

hm, any book you recommend? I do want one where I can take like 10 practice tests, Mcgraw and Hill were the only ones I found with a lot of them.

Well. I personally like Barron...but the majority of CC-ians hate it.

I would strongly recommend Real ACT Guide (the red book) and ACT for dummies though.

o, um, killerdeet0 you tried to send me a PM, but it wouldn't let me reply.

umm..... add me as friend and try again

McGraw-Hill's ACT practice tests are the WORST. I found sooooo many mistakes in them, so yeah, they suck. The Real ACT Prep Guide is the best, imo.

McGraw-Hills practices are so much easier than the real one
i did the practices there they have like 10
and on the real on i went shooooot ***?

^I found it the other way around?

i did all of mcgraw hill's english tests before taking my act, and i got a 35 on that section. soo i dont know how that works

mcgraw hill generally sux and has lots of mistakes and bad questions and unrealistic tests

:p sorry

yea I agree..
it is way easier than the actual test..

what about review books that covers material you should know?

I bought it and did like 15 questions and got lazy. I'd spent too much time prepping for SAT the weeks before ):

I've heard it's decent from my friends. I got a 34, so I returned it lol.
