Mcintyre School of Business

I'm thinking about transferring from wm for what would be my junior year and understand it is extremely competitive to transfer in from another school. I have a 3.84 currently with a 3.98 in the core business courses. Any other successful applicants that could offer any helpful advice regarding their experiences there as well as their stats would be appreciated.

It's McIntire, first of all. McIntire now has a reason to reject you. ;)

Have u done internships in the past summers? those would help, as well as ECs/Leaderships in college.

Thanks Untilted, just out of curiosity, are you in the McIntire school yourself? If so, could you describe your experience so far that would be great- Thanks!

i just finished my first year in college, and im applying for mcintire in about half a year.

i heard comm school is a crazy experience. my friends love it. no class on Friday! The career center loves comm school kids, as well.

just basic ECs should get dfm13 into McIntire. Your GPA is great...I've heard W&M is in no way easy, and I'm sure UVA will know that. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply brand. Just curious, but are you a UVA alum?

Untilted- no class on Fridays sounds like something I could get used to as well. I have to get it in first though...

lol no but honestly, they accept CC students with around 3.5 GPAs into UVA...McIntire is obviously more selective, but a 3.8 from W&M? That's something to be proud of. And nearly a 4.0 in the business core? You really don't have anything to worry about.

Anyone know when the transfer app will be up?

email cmm school deans.

Dont UVA students get preferance over other schools' students...just like VIrginians got preferance into UVA over OOS'?

Umm, yes...
