Mckelvey foundation $40,000 entrepreneurial scolarship

it went pretty well. i think i was one of the first ones to get interviewed.

Yeah, I had mine today too. I think its great that Andy himself is doing the interviewing! Woo, how did you think you did? What type of business do you have?

Andy is doing some interviewing?
Wow, that's incredible to say the least.

I have been trying to draw a parallel to the opportunity given through scholarship and I can't.
For those applying next year, who will inevitably Google this thread, I strongly encourage any level of an entrepreneur to apply.

Very true...red Remote, what type of business do you have?

Helm... I thought my interview went well and yours? I did not have andy however. I have an ebay based business

yeah i didn't have andy either. im wondering if andy hand-picked the people he wanted to interview based off of his level of interest towards the applicant. i had my interview yesterday.. i was so nervous! i hope it didn't show too badly. but i think it went well. does anyone know what they're trying to determine from these interviews?

hey i had mine the other day! it went pretty good. I'm sure everyone was a little nervous. Did they tell any of you more details on the scholarship?

awesome guys, do you know how we'll find out? Its on the 21st right?

The 21st, really? Where did you find that out?

Yes, the 21st by e-mail.
Christine McKelvey told me in the interview.

Don't forget to check it before then as well. Because if they need information (taxes, scores, etc.) They will be requesting that information through e-mail. You certainly wouldn't want to miss out on an opportunity as great as this because you forgot to check your mail!

Great, thanks for the info!

true that...ha, good luck everyone. I'm pretty nervous...

haha me too.. Has anyone heard anything yet?

I Haven't yet...anybody been asked any questions? Im pretty nervous still! What type of businesses does everyone have?

Any questions besides the interview? Nope.. Have you?

And I run a web development business; I own and manage a number of different websites.

What about you helm?

Haven't heard anything yet, but I'm hoping it won't be a full 10 days from now! I think we are all pretty anxious! Are they notifying us by email? Or by mail? When they sent us the finalist email, I think there were only about 50 emails listed. How about with you guys? I imagine it was due to a limit, but I have no idea really.

We do web development too. However, we specialize in software design, comprehensive admin consoles, and we do a lot of structured wiring contracts locally.

We have a team in India, and a team locally for the web end of things and a staff of installers for the IT infrastructure and structured wiring. Its pretty cool stuff, but Im glad to be learning so early haha...

I thought we were notified by email, but Im not sure. I really hope I get it though! do you think 200 even applied?

my email only showed that it was emailed to me?

hmm..weird! It may have just been the carrier, but I think that's how that "Youth In Business" thing got my email...
That's sounds like a cool business. MANY people applied! I know a friend or two who applied and weren't selected as finalists! It is a scholarship known all around the nation-in DECA programs, high schools...etc. Who did your interview? Did they tell you much about the e-venture program?

I found this thread from google. I am also interested in how many people applied total. I asked how would be notified about the final decisions, and she said either mail or email.
