McMurry Orgo Book

What do you guys think of John McMurry's Organic Chemistry book? Do you find it better/worse than other orgo texts? What other authors do you recommend for orgo books?

Duke switched over to Louden a couple years back. McMurry was easier to understand but not as in depth - "orgo lite", the faculty had started calling it.

In my interpretation, that makes McMurry better for premed purposes.

Just buy whatever your school recommends.

My Organic Chemistry I and II class uses McMurry's text. It's a good book. The only problem I have with it is that it asks you to do too much with limited info from the text. But it gives you a good overview of organic chem

Don't know about McMurry...We used Carey...

I think sometimes profs just use books that they had a part in reviewing...
