Hello,

UPenn offers a way for students to get thier MD and JD in four years. Has any one here done something like that or would like to do something like that?

nevermind i got my answers else where

wats jd? (ten char)

John Dorian in scrubs =)

I think it stands for jurist doctor. Lawyers get this degree after 3 years in high school. I've never heard of UPenn having a program like that. Being a doctor and a lawyer.. How is that possible?

Hi All,

Couldn't comment on the duration of this program but MD/JDs do exist. They can work either with FDA in Public Health Policy or in Regulatory area.

Other options are in Pharmaceutical companies or Insurance companies that support healthcare.

Oh, and it's not four years. It's six.

J.D. stands for Juris Doctor (i.e., doctorate in jurisprudence).
