Meal plan 125 vs 150

Roughly how many meals per day are these plans? And which do current students
Prefer? Not that it really matters Much, I'm just curious. Also I got placed in Markley, I'm super excited but is it really that hard to study there?

Go for the 125 plan and you can use the extra bucks at the grill. Even with 125 I couldn’t use all the meals. It is a fun dorm and not as bad as people say. If you really need to study you may want to head to the one of the libraries. Good luck and GO BLUE!

I would go with the 125 meal plan.

I agree with everyone else, get the 125 and enjoy the extra money at the Hideaway (the cafe/grill in the basement of Markley). It’s absolutely worth it.

Which plan should I get, since I’m a vegetarian?

I’m curious about this as well, as my son is also a vegetarian.

Every dining hall has a lot of vegetarian options. So many students are vegetarian. I don’t think that should change your plan selection. My son couldn’t even use up his 125 meal plan rarely getting breakfast in the dining hall. But he might pick up a quick smoothy with his extra dining $. You may want to puruse the attached link.

Get the least meals you can. They absolutely never finish and everyone is scrambling at the end of the year trying to finish their meals. Options for vegetarians in the dining halls aren’t too great unfortunately. I had friends who had bagels for meals sometimes because the food wasn’t that great.

housing.umich.edu has a meal plan calculator. as a student I agree with people on here about the fewer meals. I’d rather have money to spend elsewhere and if you run out of meals you can use that money in the dining halls. 125 gives more flexibility…vegetarian or not
