any meal plan advice? what would be better- more wespoints or wesdollars (don't know exactly what they're called) or more meals? I can select either 135, 165, 205 meals per semester with 475$, 275$, or 100$ wespoints respectively. what's my best bet?

it depends on how often you will be using meals (i.e. going to usdan’s all-you-can-eat second floor) vs. grabbing a sandwich or something on the move… I personally always went with as few meals as possible (more points) for flexibility, as the points can be used everywhere. I believe you can change your meal plan within the first 2 weeks, so you can see how your schedule will be and adjust. I’d go 135 meals and 475 points… if you find yourself going to usdan more often, or even summerfields, you can switch

when i was visiting campus I was advised by everyone I met to get the meal plan with the most points.

are meals only for usdan?

they can also be used at summerfields with a “meal combo” or one of their specials…

yeah i was having trouble trying to figure this out too. do most people eat out or in their rooms a lot rather than going to the dining hall? i like eating 3 meals a day but i don’t want to feel obligated to eat in the dining hall and i’ll probably just have cereal in my room in the mornings anyway… any recommendations?

most people I know just have breakfast in (although, if you’re motivated to get up early enough, breakfast at usdan is pretty good and cheap)… lunch is random (many get sandwiches to-go) and dinner is the most common meal that people “sit-down” to…
