I think I read somewhere that I-Bucks can be used in the restaurants outside campus. Is this true. Also, which would be the best meal plan??????????

No, it is not true that I-bucks can be used in other restaurants off campus.

I chose the cheapest one and at the end of the year I still had a lot of leftover points. My roommates chose the medium one and had to re-up theirs because they ran out. It really depends on how much you eat.

My daughter has the cheapest one and I’ve had to add to it both semesters. I think it’s all the coffee and C-store food.

You can’t use I-bucks at restaurants outside of campus, but you can use campus access money. This is separate from the meal plan (meaning it costs additional money), and can be added online or at stations across campus.

I got the standard meal plan, and I’ll probably have about 300 i-bucks left over at the end of this semester. As Tulare suggested, how much you spend depends partially on where you get food. Some food is really expensive (frozen dinners/most c-store food, wraps, and some other items), whereas other items are really cheap. I’d say part of the reason I have a lot of mea lpoints left still is that I don’t get much food from the c-store.

Thanks for the info/advise!
I think I’ll go for the medium meal plan since I love food!!! (I’ll be sure not to spend much too much at the c-store.)
