I've heard that foods really expensive at IU. Whats the best place to eat at measured by price and taste. I got the C Plan for food. If one point equals one dollar, I saw no point in giving a lot of money to IU for food. I figured if I need more points I can always buy them later.

Get the lowest meal plan. The dorm foods are no cheaper than take out food. You will get sick of the food after a month. You don't need more than the lowest plan.

Collins and Read have buffet style dining that is popular. The only good food option on campus to use your meal points at was McDonalds, and that is being taken out. Wright and Foster all have the same food courts, same food, same size. Slight difference in that Foster has a something called pastabellies (?), not sure as I ate there 3 times. McNutt has a sandwich place, somewhat limited. Eigenmann has a small food court and it takes a while to get anything. Willkie, McNutt, Eigenmann, and Wright all have C-Stores that are good.

You'll find something you like, the C-Store is really expensive because of the prime location of the goods.

What is the price for the buffet style dining at Collins and Read? I assume its an all you can eat buffet, please correct me if I'm mistaken. Is the food good, and does the menu change, or is it the same food all year round. Do they switch between breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, or is it an all day thing?

Whats the pricing like at Wright and Foster? What are my options in the food court?

Also what about off campus food, whats good, whats cheap?

For off-campus, my son spent a lot of time at Mother Bear's Pizza (which also offers sandwiches and perhaps other things). He said they have good prices. They are close to Forest, where he lived his first year.

There are also some nice ethnic restaurants in houses on one side of campus (I forget directions) near Kirkwood St. that are reasonable.
