Meal Plans

OK-2 questions...

First, when you submit your housing questionnaire, I think it asks for which meal plan you are going to sign up (but, I might be mistaking that for the "I'm attending" commitment form/site). Whichever it was, are you committed to the plan you picked? If not, how late can you change...?

Second, what do you think the most common plan is?

Erm...one more question...microwaves ok but not hotplates, right?

You can call the bursar’s office to change your meal plan. It will be easiest if you do this before they generate the bills for the next semester. Not sure when the absolute latest date is when you can change it. Call the bursar’s office to be sure.
I think the 19 Plus is pretty popular. They change the plans every year.

Microwaves are OK, hotplates are not. https://www.wpi.edu/offices/rso/what-to-bring.html

I agree that the 19 plus is pretty popular with freshman, especially 1st semester. It’s easy to change for 2nd semester once you know how often you tend to eat in the dining hall. My D ended up changing to the 200 swipes so that she could swipe friends in. Of the 4 plans available to freshman, 3 cost the same. The VIP one is more pricey. I’m sure some guys could make good use of that one, but my D didn’t even mange to use all of her meals on the less costly plans.
