What is the acceptance rate into Brown’s medical school for students who graduated from Brown for their undergraduate degree?

81% 10char

Wow, that’s really high. So what’s the point of applying to Brown’s PLME program?

So you don’t have to worry about being the other 19%.

How could that stat even exist and be meaningful? also, I’ve never seen it reported so I’d like a source.

The real answer is that if you do well at Brown all paths are open to you.

The acceptance rate for the Alpert Medical School was about 3.2% last year (I think). Around 1860 applicants competed for 60 or so spots. Also, 60% of the students were PLME… Again, these stats are off the top of my head, and I am too lazy to cite… I’M NOT EVEN A PRE-MED STUDENT! haha.

benefit of PLME: No MCATs! (although, is that changing?)

The acceptance rate of Brown undergrads into medical schools (in general) is over 80% with some slight variations from year to year. That stat is available thanks to the Health Advising Careers office. Brown is one of the top 5 schools in the country in terms of getting their premeds into med school.

I do not know what the number is for Brown premeds into Brown med school, and I agree with modest…it would not be very meaningful anyway…
