I am a freshman, pre-med MCB major. I'm currently taking Math 53 to fulfill the second half of the year of calculus that is required by most med schools (I took Math 1B last semester). I know that you're not allowed to take classes that are major requirements P/NP. I was wondering, because I am also taking Bio 1B and Chem 3A and will have a pretty heavy course load, and because Math 53 is not an MCB prereq, is it possible for me to take Math 53 P/NP? Do med schools care whether or not their requirements are completed for a letter grade or do they just want to see them fulfilled? Do you recommend that I do this?
Thanks!

How’s premed at berkeley? I know my question is irrelevant to yours, but I’ve just been admitted and I’m trying to decide between attending premed at berkeley and take the risk of not even attending medical school, or go straight to medical school overseas.
Any advice would be great!
