Medical Insurance

Since my s's school in 4hrs drive school away from home and the place close to nowhere. Currently he rarely see the doctor.

Our Current M insurance is not cover out of state.

Do you think it is neccessary to purchase the school insurance ? I think it cost about $800 for 9 months

Do you think it is over insured ?

Thanks.

It takes one small error and a child can end up with a broken bone. The hospital bill alone can be in excess of $8,000 for that, then there are the follow up visits with the physician etc. I would say $800 for 9 months is worthwhile.

Take the insurance. My son was injured in an athletic event and was taken to the hospital. We didn't pay for one thing and didn't have to file any forms. It was well worth it.

If your current insurance does not cover out of state, I would get it. (The school might even require it).

OK. I called the insurance co. again. They told me. If my s go to ER ever though it is out of state, it would be cover if it only go through the ER.

so i think I just do not change his primpary doctor doctor. the school also offer the student accidentaly reimbursement up to $1000 for $85 premium.

In the case, should I purchase the MEGA Life and Health Insurance Plan I for 1550 per year. 1410 per nine month.

Yan,
Almost all insurance poliicies cover out of state emergencies. They may not cover the "follow-up" of the orthopedic to change the cast, however.
