<p>I'm looking (rather desperately) for a summer internship in medicine (research or practicing) for a high school graduate.</p>
<p>I've stumbled upon a few on Google, but location seems to be a big problem. I need an opportunity in one of the following cities:</p>
<p>Detroit
Chicago
Philadelphia
Vegas</p>
<p>Anyone know of anything? Am I too late to apply?</p>

<p>1.) It's March. You're almost certainly too late to apply.</p>
<p>2.) Premedical students very rarely get the luxury of being geographically picky about their opportunities. Most premeds of the premeds I knew spent their summers either at school or in Bethesda.</p>
<p>3.) If your concern is medical school admissions, this summer's not particularly important.</p>
<p>I'd say you chill this summer. You still got 3 more summers to do these stuffs.</p>
<p>I regret not starting to volunteer (it only takes around 4-6 hrs a week) the summer before college. I wouldn't recommend shadowing or research yet.</p>
