Medical/Law School Acceptance Rate

Does anyone know the Tufts medical school acceptance rate and the list of schools alumni are offered admission to? Anyone have a link to that?

Does anyone have the same, but for law school? Is Tufts law school strong?

Tufts does not have a law school

Law program …

There’s no such thing as a “law program” at any US undergraduate institution.

^ Fact. Tufts has very good pre-law advising, and extremely strong law school placement for its graduates, if that’s what you mean. But the closest thing there is to an undergraduate law program ANYWHERE is a Philosophy major.

Yea … what snarf said. Basically.

^Not sure how you’re agreeing with Snarf, as his post is consistent with the other advice that: Tufts does not have a law school or an undergrad “law program.”
If you want to go to law school, you can major in absolutely anything, from PoliSci to Econ to English to Philosophy to Physics.
Snarf correctly states that Tufts has many law school-bound students with good advising in that direction.

Soooo anyone have any information pertaining to the original question?

When I was deciding on colleges and still thought I wanted to go to law school, I e-mailed the pre-law advising deans at my top three choices. Jeanne Dillon, Tufts’ pre-law advisor at the time, answered my promptly and kindly with lots of helpful information of the kind you seek. I believe Tufts is actually searching for a new pre-law advisor and doesn’t have one right at the moment, but if you emailed Jeanne Dillon I’m sure she would at least send you to the right place. jeanne.dillon@tufts.edu

Carol Baffi-Dugan is the pre-health advisor, and likely has similar information. Carol.Baffi-Dugan@tufts.edu. She’s actually my academic dean and a really warm and welcoming woman as well.

PS I’m a little surprised you’re looking into both. People who are between law or med school stereotypically are just seen as status chasers. Do you actually have a passion for both medicine and law and you’re just torn at the moment, or do you just want to ensure you have the right sorts of letters after your name to get into the country club? Because if its the latter, you may end up feeling a bit out of place at Tufts.
