Where can I find the information on how many students from UC Davis apply to Medical school and how many get accepted ? Appreciate any response …

I’ll bite on this question. I went to Davis, graduated this previous quarter, and I applied to med school and got in. I highly doubt Davis or the pre-med advising office keeps a record of this since you don’t really need to tell the school that you’re applying. You can always ask the pre-med advising office what schools some of the students got in, but I don’t think they have specific numbers for you. Schools that usually keep track of this are schools that write a committee letter to medical schools on behalf of their students. To my knowledge, none of the UCs do this (no budget). However, the lists that some other universities publish regarding those apply/accepted are not exactly accurate because a lot of times, they discourage the weaker applicants from applying by not writing committee letters or other methods. Therefore, you will see some ridiculous numbers like 90%+ who applied get in, which isn’t false, but they omit a lot of people who did not have the blessing of the pre-med advising office and chose to apply anyways. Trust me, your undergrad matters little in terms of medical school admissions. It’s what you do in undergrad that matters.

I agree what you said. But, other UCs keep track of this statistics. I was wondering if I can find some stats for UC Davis.
