^ I agree. And I would also like to point out that while the SAT can be retaken (to death), classes certainly cannot be retaken.

Well, I'm not sure what people consider "hard" AP courses, but I can most definitely say that I got stares and remarks from people when I told them I was in six APs. I got to a rigorous Independent School and the average is one or two APs, and six was definitely alot. The smartest kids were taking about four. And AP classes at my school are extremely hard, not like at some public schools where even average students take seven APs. Our school's passing rate on AP exams is 89 Percent, while the national average is 18 percent.

im pretty sure my public school doesnt have "mediocre" kids taking 7 aps and wat is passing you cant exactly fail an ap. Anyways I got an 1890 on my Sats play 3 vasrsity sports and took 7 aps and got accepted to Vassar college. SATS are not as important as I thought and I would focus on your course load and extracurricular activities

^ yea, i agree.

do well on your SATs and retake if you need too. Don't settle for something low.

But never let your Extra-curriculars and GPA slip. I think these are by far more important.

Evidence---> Columbia Admission's Officer I met this week: "While the range for SATS varies this much (she stretched her hands really wide), the range for GPA is only this much (very little room in between)."
