I have a BS in Supply Chain & Logistics Technology. I am going to do a part time masters degree while I am working for an electrical distributor full time. I am curious about which of these 2 degrees is a better option.

Are you looking at a school where both are offered and are distinct, or are you looking at two different schools? The two are pretty similar, so you should either state the school or maybe list what coursework you’d be looking to take in either. Just based off the name no one can tell you too much.

The Systems Engineering masters is from Jojns Hopkins. The MEng is from Clemson and focuses on Capital supply chain.

In this particular case, these two degrees are different. The JHU M.S. SysE degree is more for current practicing systems engineers or systems engineers doing project/program management. The JHU degree (big here in the DC area) kinda assumes that you want to apply that degree to your previous experience in EE, ME, CompE or Software Engineering.

My $0.05 on your question is that it depends on what you want the degree to do for you. If you plan to stay in the Logistics industry, I would go with Clemson’s degree. If you plan to support efforts in EE, ME or CS/CompE and/or just want a M.S./M.Eng to get better billing rates (also big here in the DC area), then go for the JHU degree.
